Better Bowling Guide

Are you interested in improving your bowling game? You can start getting better scores right away by correcting common mistakes that lots of people make. Anyone can become better at bowling no matter how experienced they are.

The first step to becoming a better bowler is to buy your own equipment. If you get a ball that is custom fit to your hand it will feel lighter and will be a lot easier to control. If you use a different ball every time you bowl, you will never be consistent. For your equipment, you will need a ball, a bag, a towel and shoes.

Professional Wrestling In Japan: A Brief History Of Puroresu

Professional wrestling in Japan, or “puroresu,” is a popular fighting sport. It had its boom years in the 1960’s and 70’s, but it is still widely enjoyed today.

Rikidozan and the Early Days

Puroresu began in Japan after World War 2. It didn’t really take off until Rikidozan came along. Rikidozan was a Korean-born sumo wrestler. In 1951, he began the Japan Pro Wrestling Alliance, or the JWA. It was modeled after the pro-wrestling associations in the United States.

Aiming For The Best Targets In A Self-defense Situation!

When discussing self-defense for beginners and those new to the realm of self-protection, I’m often asked…

“If I just want to get out of there and need to shut this guy down fast, what are the best areas of his body to hit?”

I love questions like this, because it tells me that the person asking it is thinking strategically rather than simply mechanically. If you ask questions, not related as much to “what” it is that you can do but, “how,” “where,” “when,” and “why”

…it tells me that you’re thinking about results, effectiveness, and efficiency

The Nhl Lockout Was An Odd Year In Ice Hockey History

In the fall of 2004 the owners of the teams in the National Hockey League locked the players out. This was a chapter in the NHL hockey history all fans sure could have been without. For the first time in ice hockey history an entire NHL season was canceled.

Part of an NHL season has been canceled before due to disputes with the collective bargain agreement, but this time we didn’t even get to watch the Stanley Cup finals. And this hasn’t happened since 1919, when the Stanley Cup Final was canceled due to a worldwide influenza. That time the final would have been played between the Montreal Canadiens and the Seattle Metropolitans. Who do you think would have played in 2005?

Pole Vaulting In Virtual Reality And Holographic Realms

Pole Vaulting is a tough sport and even a harder one to coach, as you can only coach after they screw up and it takes a lot of energy for each fault. The athlete’s form in pole vaulting is paramount; as if you screw it up you end up 15 feet in air against a stanchion and no where but down to go. Unfortunately there usually is not very good mat protection there to break you fall to prevent breaking your leg, arm or collarbone.

Buying Scuba Diving Equipment - What To Buy First

So you have taken your course and done a bit more diving and want to invest in some scuba diving equipment, but where to start?

A common question I am asked by new scuba divers is, “What scuba diving equipment should I buy first?” It can be tempting to want to buy all the kit in one go but it is a big investment to make and if you are only going to be diving two weeks each year on your holiday it might not be the best use of your money.

South Africa Beat Australia In The 1st Week Of Tri-nations Rugby

On Saturday 16th June 2007, the Springboks kicked off their Tri Nations campaign, against a full strength Wallaby side in Newlands, Cape Town. As the first real test of the Springboks strength, against a highly rated world class side, with a long history of cohesion in the side and among the management team, this was a much awaited clash. Speculation was rife as to which was the better side and who indeed would be called upon to do team duty on the day. I was pleasantly surprised by the selections as the team looked closer to what I would consider to be the best, with 1 or 2 minor exceptions. I, personally, was happy to see the combination of the Shark’s scrumhalf and flyhalf.

When To Wear Your Olympic Medal

You spend half of your life getting banged around from pillar to post but you won an Olympic Gold, Silver, or Bronze medal.

For every second of your event you spent months or years of having sore muscles and injury pain.

You risked your life flying through the air in an unnatural way.

You froze your butt off on the ice or snow-covered slopes.

You ran a zillion miles and jumped and shot and curled and danced and did what you had to do to win.
