You Cant Take It With You!

“When we look at the wise, they die; fool and dolt perish together
and leave their wealth to others.” (Psalm 49:10, NRSV)

Every now and then it’s a good idea to take stock of one’s self. Where am I heading? Is this the path I charted? Do I want to change course? More often than not, we tend to pay more attention to our financial portfolios, seek out retirement strategies, or simply make sure that the check we wrote for this month’s mortgage will clear, rather than taking personal inventory.

Young People Securing Healthy Financial Future

Young Britons are increasingly preparing for their financial future, new research shows.

Figures released by Birmingham Midshires revealed that the proportion of young people who have opened up a savings account has doubled over the last six months. According to the financial services firm, one in seven adults between the ages of 18 and 24 have taken out such a product in the previous three months. Compared to the one in 14 people from the age group who set up such a savings product six months ago, more consumers may find that their finances are in a favourable position in later life, which could help them meet demands for payment on areas such as loans and utility bills as they get older.

Ripstick Caster Board - A New Twist In Boarding

The Ripstick Caster Board has been likened to surfing and snowboarding on two wheels!

Designed with two foot plates joined by a lateral pivot mechanism which allows them to twist independently, the Ripstick has 2 caster wheels, not unlike supermarket trolley wheels, allowing them to rotate in any direction.

These foot plates and wheels allow the Ripstick to provide a side sliding and turning motion just like carving on a snowboard.

The Ripstick can also be propelled by the side to side movement of the legs, meaning the rider does not need to take their foot off of the board to push it along, and it can be easily propelled along - even up hills.

Intimacy In Marriage

Love is a fever. When a man is in love, he endures more than at other times; he submits to everything,” says Freidrich Nietzche.

However, the very act of marriage sometimes serves as an antipyretic, bringing down Love’s fever to a tepid state. Then the man begins to treat the woman he wooed and won, like a piece of furniture – comfortable, useful and preferably long lasting.

No marriage can be durable without that priceless ingredient called Intimacy. Without its unifying strength, the marriage is likely to be unstable, and in danger of collapsing.

Are Natural Gas Vehicles Safe?

Natural gas is an environmentally clean, plentiful, low-cost, domestically-produced fuel for motor vehicles. But is it a safe fuel? Any automobile fuel can be dangerous if handled improperly. Fuels contain energy which must be released by burning. Gasoline is a potentially dangerous fuel, but, over time, we have learned to use it safely. The same is true of natural gas. Natural gas safely generates our electricity, heats our homes and cooks our meals. But, like gasoline, natural gas must be understood and respected to be used safely.
