Interview With Owen Egerton, Author Of How Best To Avoid Dying

Today, Tyler R. Tichelaar of Reader Views is pleased to be joined by Owen Egerton, author of the short story collection, “How Best to Avoid Dying.”

Owen Egerton has lived in Austin, Texas, since 1991. For the most part, Owen made his living making people laugh. For years he was the artistic director of Austin’s National Comedy Theater and Comedysportz troupe. In 2000 he co-founded the Sinus Show at the Alamo Drafthouse, the most popular comedy show in Austin history. Most recently he directed and performed in “Plays Well with Others” at Zach Scott Theatre.

Stimulating Summer Internship For Students This Summer

The National Institute of Health invites students to spend the summer months working in their summer internship program. The summer internship program is dedicated to providing students with the opportunity to work beside some of today’s most influential scientists in the field of biomedical research.

Students who are United States citizens and sixteen years of age or older are welcome to apply for the National Institute of Health’s elite summer internship program. Students must at least be a permanent resident of the United States or enrolled part-time in an accredited United States college or high school.

Teenagers - Are They Really As Bad As We Think?

Consider the age in which we live and how difficult it must be to survive as a teenager within our society. In most parts of the civilized world, it is impossible nowadays to allow your child to go anywhere alone, to play or to interact with other children for any length of time unsupervised.

My daughter was over ten years old before I would allow her to be away from home for more than a sleepover, and I noted she was extremely homesick whenever such outings were finally on the agenda. She preferred to pick and choose her moments away from her own doorstep, almost as though she was reluctant to let go of her safety net.
